If beer be the food of love, drink on: Rogue Shakespeare Oatmeal Stout (video)

Rogue Shakespeare Oatmeal Stout is often touted as being one of the best Oatmeal Stouts in the world. So when I had the opportunity to drink this, I had to share it with everyone. So here is a video beer review of Rogue Shakespeare Oatmeal Stout, a beer that I found to be an almost perfect example of what an Oatmeal Stout should be. Check out the video below and be sure to leave your comments.

About Irving

I'm just a guy who has a passion for good beer. Over the past few years I've been making it a point to introduce my friends to good quality beer and now, all of you. There's a world beyond cold activated cans, clydesdales, green bottles and Mexican clear bottled beer, you just need to tap that keg. Stay thirsty but stay different.

  1. Haha, now you know why I was licking it off my arms on Super Bowl Sunday. Yes, that’s the same beer you doused me with in celebration of the Gaints winning it all. It was yummy indeed.

  2. wOOt. Rogue, another Oregon brewery!

  3. Thanks for the review. Your ABV question: we don’t put the ABV on the bottle – this detours those looking for a beer with highest ABV for the wrong reasons. To get a rough estimate of the ABV divide the Plato by 2…roughly 7.5

    • Thanks for taking the time to comment and follow up. I should have stuck with my guns and said 7 but I couldn’t taste it so I wasn’t sure.

I sort of understand your point but I would like to know if I’m purchasing a sipper or a session beer. At 7.5 its teetering the session/sipper line and if I drank 2 bombers and didn’t realize it was 7.5 I might find myself on the couch sleeping before I knew it.

Again thanks for the comment and keep brewing awesome beer!
