Sucker Punched by Odell IPA (video)

Odell IPA 7% ABV 60 IBU

I love when I’m not expecting much from a beer and I get smacked in the face like Charlie Murphy by Rick James. Its those moments where you think you had the best or tried one of the best styles of a particular beer and then have something that reminds you why you love beer. While I pride myself on the amount of beers I’ve had, there are so many beers out there that haven’t had the privilege of gracing my lips.

With that enters Odell IPA from Colorado a beer that I wasn’t expecting much from, but when it showed up, it was ready to party. These are those beer moments I live for, these are the moments that reestablish my passion for beer and drive me to share my beer journey with you all. Enjoy the video above and let me know what you think in the comments section.

About Irving

I'm just a guy who has a passion for good beer. Over the past few years I've been making it a point to introduce my friends to good quality beer and now, all of you. There's a world beyond cold activated cans, clydesdales, green bottles and Mexican clear bottled beer, you just need to tap that keg. Stay thirsty but stay different.

  1. Cheers! Glad you enjoyed it. For sure a A+ beer. Recently listed #38 on top beers in the country by AHA members.

    • thanks again Hermen I really enjoyed it, even my wife asked me yesterday “do u have anymore of that beer you had the other day?”

    • I believe I came across this during my trip to Golden. That name sounds awfully familiar, but only a taste would tell me for sure. Better call my boys in the Denver metro area. Cheers…

  2. quick question do you drink your beers cold or warm Temp

    • I never drink a beer warm, I think that’s called piss :) Seriously though beer temps vary with the style of the beer. If you are in doubt just drink it cold. I normally drink my stouts and porters at higher temperatures around 55 degrees. IPAs and pale beers normally cold around the 40s. Just remember the colder the beer the less flavor you’re getting out of the beer.
